Bud Adams Follows Up Double-Fingered Kiss-Off With Dead Tree-Based Apology

You may remember Bud Adams as the old codger/team owner in the Tennessee Titans’ box who flipped a couple of birds in the general direction of the Ralph Wilson Stadium field after his Titans beat the Bills last week, then paid many pretty pennies for it. But Adams apparently wants to be remembered in Buffalo as a stand-up guy for the rest of the season, if this ESPN article is correct.

Can Adams really buy forgiveness for what that ESPN article hilariously dubs “an emphatic series of middle fingers from a luxury suite” with a back-page ad? Probably not.

On the bright side, he may have saved the Buffalo News for a year, because -- and I don’t know if you’ve heard this, person using the Internet to get sports opinion -- newspapers are dying, and even the tiniest chunk of ad revenue is nice to have.
