17-17: Late In Fourth, Chiefs Look For Second Home Win In As Many Years

The Chiefs have now won two in a row for the first time in over two years. This is cause for celebration at Arrowhead Pride. If you’re a Steelers fan searching for what exactly a 6-4 record in the AFC means, head on over to Behind The Steel Curtain.

Kansas City, MO (Sports Network) - Ryan Succop kicked a 22-yard field goal in overtime, as the Kansas City Chiefs erased a 10-point halftime deficit to stun the Pittsburgh Steelers, 27-24, at Arrowhead Stadium.

The game-winning boot was set up by a 61-yard passing play between Matt Cassel and Chris Chambers on third down.

Cassel finished 15-of-30 through the air for 248 yards and two touchdowns for the Chiefs (3-7), who snapped a 10-game losing streak at home. Jamaal Charles opened the scoring with a kickoff return and his two-yard grab drew Kansas City even with 4:54 to play in fourth quarter.

Pittsburgh quarterback Ben Roethlisberger completed 32-of-42 passes for 398 yards with three touchdowns, but was picked off twice before exiting the game in the extra session after being struck in the head by the knee of Derrick Johnson.

Rashard Mendenhall had 80 yards on 21 carries for the Steelers (6-4), who have lost two straight.
