Rex Ryan is either mistaking modern American professional football for a gentlemen’s game or the New England Patriots for a team that spares an iota of remorse for the feelings of others. Either way, hilarity ensues:
Rex Ryan Wants Respect From Patriots (And A Pony, Please)
↵↵Jets coach Rex Ryan said he thought the Patriots “disrespected” his team when QB Tom Brady attempted a deep pass to WR Randy Moss in the final minute of a 31-14 win on Sunday.
↵↵Well, I never! Two things to remember here: First, that passing in a 31-14 game in no way constitutes running up the score, not in the same season and at the hands of the same team responsible for this horrorshow. Second, that until the clock hits 00:00, no matter the score, it’s still your job to stop the other guys. Don’t like it? Do something about it. (All right, and a third: The “disrespectful” pass in question wasn’t even a completion, which pushes this into the realm of pure crybabydom.)
