The Refs Will Not Allow This Deception to Pass

↵The call, if you couldn’t make it out was “Unsportsmanlike Conduct, Trying to Deceive.” Watching it again, I’m not sure what was illegal. Hall was the only player in motion as far as I could tell.

↵Similar trick plays have been retroactively condemned by leagues (see: Georgia Tech’s fake field goal).↵It’s also a little bit reminiscent of Dan Marino’s fake spike. I’ve even seen Peyton Manning pull it off a little too effectively only to have the play blown dead by the officials.

↵For a follow up act, I’m thinking Max Hall should try the old “wrong ball” play.
