Two ranked Big Ten teams were in action on Sunday night and both fell short. No. 15 Michigan lost to Alabama in the finals of the Old Spice Classic while No. 22 Minnesota lost to Texas A&M in the 76 Classic consolation game.
JaMychal Green Ensures Alabama Upset Over No. 15 Michigan In Old Spice Classic
JaMychal Green had a thunderous dunk off of a missed layup with 5.4 seconds remaining and blocked a potential game-tying shot as time expired, as Alabama edged 15th-ranked Michigan, 68-66, in the third place game of the Old Spice Classic.
Green finished with 20 points and seven rebounds for the Crimson Tide (4-2), who got 12 points from Charvez Davis. Mikhail Torrance added 11 and eight assists in the victory.
