Sherdog is reporting that Todd Duffee has been forced out of his UFC 107 fight with Paul Buentello:
Todd Duffee Injured, Out of Fight With Paul Buentello At UFC 107
Todd Duffee has pulled out of his heavyweight bout against Paul Buentello at UFC 107 on Dec. 12 in Memphis, Tenn., due to an injury.
“(Withdrawing) was one of the hardest decisions I’ve had to make,” said Duffee, who would not disclose the nature of his injury.
Buentello has been unfairly dismissed as a minor tune-up fight for Duffee. Paul is a solid veteran with good power and a pretty good resume. Considering that he’s only lost to Andrei Arlovski during Andrei’s prime run as UFC champ and Alistair Overeem over the past six years it’s not as though there is any proof that he is a pushover for a guy who has a total of seven seconds of octagon time.
Buentello will remain on the card and Stefan Struve and Mike Russow have been the two names floated out as possible replacements for Duffee.
