Cincinnati Frosh Lance Stephenson Cleared
↵There were questions over whether Lance Stephenson, who starred in a documentary as a high schooler and faced a variety of attitude- and family-based recruitment distractions, would end up eligible for the NCAA. Stephenson is incredibly talented, but elite schools were scared. Not Mick Cronin and Cincinnati, who took a risk on Stephenson. As of today, that risk is paying off: Stephenson won’t miss any Bearcats games (cough, John Wall) and is eligible to play immediately. And Cincinnati is going to be awfully good at basketball again.
