If the reaction at SB Nation Buccaneers blog Buc ‘Em is any indication, Bucs quarterback Josh Freeman could run for mayor:
Josh Freeman All The Rage In Tampa Bay
↵
↵On a day when a franchise celebrated its past, it got a peek at its future. And through that window came relief for a head coach. For a city, triumph. For a team, victory.
↵
And for a quarterback, an arrival.
On a cool, breezy November afternoon, Josh Freeman stood tall. He played with poise, he made good decisions, and just when it looked like the Packers were going to roll out of town with a victory, he delivered.
↵If it seems like a lot of poetically written love for the quarterback of a 1-7 team who just went 14-31 for 205 yards, remember Freeman did throw three touchdowns, including a fourth-quarter toss to Kellen Winslow for the game-winning score. And hey, when things look as dismal as they have in Tampa these past few years -- especially this one -- you make the most of the positives when they come. Buccaneers fan or not, we can all get behind that.
