Fantasy Stat Breakdown: The Rise Of Vernon Davis

- San Francisco TE Vernon Davis needs 87 receiving yards for his 2009 total to exceed his combined 2007 and 2008 receiving yard totals (30 combined games).

- How can the Bengals -- who have swept the AFC North and practically clinched a playoff spot -- be playing so well when their quarterback is playing so poorly? In his last three games (against the Raiders, Browns and Lions with a combined record of 7-29), Bengals QB Carson Palmer averaged 179 passing yards per game.

- The Chicago Bears haven’t beaten a team this season that had more than one win when the Bears played them.

- WR Wes Welker had 10 receptions last week but no other Patriot had more than two.

- Last Sunday, Mark Sanchez had fewer passing yards (104) than teammate Thomas Jones had rushing yards (109)

- If Aaron Rodgers can throw 9 TD passes in his last four games, he’ll have the 3rd most TD passes in a season for a Packer, ever, in the history of the franchise. He’d need 15 TD passes to break the record.

- Beanie Wells has fewer than 50 rushing yards in eight of his thirteen games this season.

- In San Diego’s 30-23 victory over Cleveland, both teams punted a total of only four times.

- Tampa QB Josh Freeman had five interceptions in his first four starts. He doubled that total in one game against the Panthers.

- I know they escaped with a win, but the Saints had a total of 55 rushing yards against the Redskins. That’s....not good.
