Maybe Iowa Fans Should Stick to Something That Isn’t Rapping

↵↵⇥↵⇥↵⇥↵⇥↵⇥↵⇥↵↵

↵↵At long last, Kirk Ferentz has been name-checked in a song. This, from “Notti Boy,” is an Iowa Hawkeyes rap. If that doesn’t scan as a strange sentence by itself, keep in mind that it includes the following lines:↵

  • ↵↵⇥⇥↵⇥“I’m a legend in this game like Tim Dwight and Hayden Fry.”
  • ⇥↵⇥“Take it to the field, talkin’ Kinnick Stadium.”
  • ⇥↵⇥“Head coach on my block, like I’m Kirk Ferentz.”

↵↵↵The entire enterprise is about as wince-inducing as possible (making it rain with Grants?), but, because this is the work of a rogue rhymer, should in no way be used as evidence of the possible estrangement from cool of either the state or University of Iowa. This being the Internet, it will be, and mercilessly.↵
