December 12, 2009 – Kansas City, MO (Sports Network) – Xavier Henry led all scorers with 31 points and Cole Aldrich finished with 19 points and six rebounds, as top-ranked Kansas earned an easy, 90-65, win over LaSalle at Sprint Center.Markieff Morris finished with 12 points and 12 rebounds for Kansas (9-0), which was coming off a 99-64 shellacking of Radford on Wednesday. Tayshawn Taylor chipped in with 10 points as six assists for the Jayhawks, who shot 52.5 percent from the field and made 8-of-17 from three-point distance.

Jerrell Williams had a team-best 21 points for LaSalle (6-3), which had won three in a row. Rodney Green ended with 19 points, while Yves Mekongo had a solid game with 10 points, nine rebounds and six assists
Green’s three-pointer nearly seven minutes into the contest gave upset-minded LaSalle a brief 17-16 lead, before Kansas took control for the rest of the half.
Taylor’s layup on the ensuing trip down the floor put the Jayhawks back in front and Kansas would close the half with a 21-7 run and be up by a comfortable 42-27 score at the break.
The second half proved to be no different than the first as KU held a double- figure advantage throughout on the way to an easy win.
Kansas has won all three matchups in the all-time series with La Salle, but these two programs were meeting on the hardwood for the first time since 1975.
