Our UCLA blog, Bruins Nation, says that Bruin basketball hit a new low today, failing miserably in front of legendary head coach John Wooden — in what is likely one of the last chances he’ll watch the program he made famous in person.
Bruins Nation: Embarassing Performance
Ben Howland, his staff, players, and everyone associated with his program should be ashamed of themselves today for embarrassing the four letters infront of Coach John Wooden. They went down in one of the most humiliating defeats in Bruin basketball history by getting blown out by Mississippi State Bulldogs.
I saw the Bruins play three times in Anaheim over Thanksgiving weekend. Sure this isn’t the most talented UCLA squad, particularly when compared to the past few years, but there seems to be a lot more wrong in Westwood at the moment.
