Speaking of tough, veteran receivers… This just happened in the Ravens-Lions game:
Derrick Mason Won’t Age, Be Tackled
↵
↵Derrick Mason, tougher than anyone realizes. He’s been playing since like 1982, and he’s never been one of the more spectacular receivers in football, but he just keeps doing it.
↵Making tough catches, scoring improbable touchdowns, and playing his “totally solid, dependable receiver that everyone assumes kinda sucks”-role to perfection. And even if you don’t ignore him—the Lions hit him with two guys—he’ll still find a way to beat you. And he’s been doing it for 27 years now. Remarkable.
↵(Stands to applaud)
