Colorado Loses Second Four-Star Recruit

For Dan Hawkins, the hits just keep on coming: The ten wins he promised fans in 2009 amounting instead to nine losses; the benching and re-benching and re-re-benching of his son Cody under center, the knowledge that he’d be fired, fired, fired if Colorado could afford to cut him loose. The latest shoe to drop? Oh, just the second defection of a four-star commit in a month:

↵↵Colorado prep and Littleton high school star RB Mister Jones has decommitted from the University of Colorado and switched his pledge to Texas A&M.

↵Jones, thought to be a lock because he grew up idolizing the University of Colorado and was considered the man of the house taking care of his siblings, had voiced his concern over the program in prior months but still said he was excited to be a Buff late in the season.

↵↵What is it with this guy and ruffled blue-chippers? He’s going to have a hard enough time getting to the promised land of Adequate Enough To Keep The Job next season as is, but to let guys with awesome names like “Mister” walk on your watch? Unforgivable, D-Hawk.
