Offsides: Roy Williams Will Not Tolerate Heckling

↵↵North Carolina won big-time on Saturday against lowly Presbyterian, but evidently winning on the court wasn’t enough. Coach Roy Williams had a fan from the visiting team tossed, reportedly for saying something as benign as “Hey Deon, don’t miss it,” according to the Fayetteville Observer. It was such an extreme reaction there’s only one possible explanation: it was a Blue Devil in disguise.↵

↵UPDATE: The fan in question, Brian King, has responded to criticism from the UNC faithful:↵

↵↵⇥“I was not a drunken idiot who happened to be where he wasn’t supposed to be,” King said.↵↵On the subject of being in the right seats:↵↵⇥King said he bought two tickets from StubHub for the game, but moved in the second half to sit with buddies from elementary school who had seats in the lower level behind the UNC bench. King said he was invited to sit there and that his friends had extra tickets available. He said he could have shown the security officers the tickets if they had asked.↵↵
