The Associated Press reminds us that once upon a time, weeks and weeks ago, Tiger Woods was most known for being a great golfer. The AP named Woods the Athlete of the Decade today as they managed to look past his sexual escapades and focus on his feats on the links, which includes 12 majors in the oughts, along with 64 tournament victories total.

↵Second place in the voting went to Lance Armstrong, and third to Roger Federer, thus ensuring that one athlete from each of America’s three favorite sports was represented. Someday we’ll grow to appreciate team sports in this nation, and recognize those who play them as real “athletes.”
