The Unknown WhoDat, a mysterious but unquestionably enthusiastic Saints superfan who captured the hearts of a black and gold nation in New Orleans’ overtime win at Washington, has been uncovered after spending only ten days as an internet sensation. He’s since become a sort of unofficial (but no less beloved) team mascot, and is already being referred to as the team’s greatest living fan.
New Orleans radio station Mix 92.3 has identified him only as “Uncle Bill” (and yes, he’s got a niece named Holly but it’s not me) and will be interviewing him Thursday morning at 8:20 a.m. EST. Hotel accommodations, playoff tickets, and even a paid trip to the Super Bowl have been offered up to honor him by various Saints fans. Me, I’m just tuning in to hear him inform us he’s a lost member of the Manning clan.
