Andre Johnson: Fantasy Superhero
↵For the rest of you (especially AJ owners): Wow, just wow. In the space of two weeks, Johnson has vaulted from being merely one among a handful of elite wide receivers to being THE GUY; he’s put up nearly 400 yards in two weeks, simply demoralizing secondaries along the way. In fact, as Nick Scurfield of HoustonTexans.com points out, Johnson is on the cusp of becoming only the second receiver to ever lead the league in receiving in consecutive seasons (the other being Jerry Rice), and the second receiver to post consecutive 1500 yard years (with Marvin Harrison being the only other). Pretty heady company.
↵With Owen Daniels and Steve Slaton out, and the playoffs all but out of reach, the Texans seem to have decided to just chuck it around like a game of Madden, seemingly targeting Johnson every other play. Enjoy the ride while it lasts, AJ (and Schaub) owners. This is the stuff fantasy legends are made of.
