More bad news for the Lions. In a season filled with injuries to key players, rookie quarterback Matthew Stafford is the latest victim. The Detroit Free-Press reports that the team has placed Stafford on IR after deciding that he should undergo surgery on his injured right knee to clear out debris in it. Surgery is scheduled for next Tuesday in Birmingham, Alabama. Stafford originally suffered his knee injury back on October 4th against the Bears.
