Week 17: The NFL’s Also-Rans Reveal Themselves
↵Oh, wait a minute. At their respective halves, the Dolphins are down 27-3, the Jaguars trail 28-0, and the Giants are behind 24-0.
↵So, provided these three teams don’t mount historic comebacks, here’s what we can deduce.
↵- If the Cowboys and Packers each win at least one of their next two games, the Giants are out.
↵- The AFC wild card herd will be thinned somewhat, with the Jets, Ravens, Texans, and Broncos in the discussion entering the 4:00 games. If the Steelers can beat the Ravens (they lead 20-10 at the half), they’ll be in the mix too. So it’s still unclear, but, uh, less unclear.
↵- David Garrard is bad at football.
