The loud “BOOS!” you currently hear are coming from Indianapolis, where backup quarterback Curtis Painter is doing his best to ensure the Colts lose at least one game this season. The rookie from Purdue made his NFL debut when he entered this afternoon’s Jets-Colts game in the third quarter, with Indy leading 15-10.
World Meets Curtis Painter, Boos Him
↵Painter has promptly gone 2-for-5 for just 15 yards. Oh, and he also fumbled the ball on his second possession. The Jets recovered it in the endzone, converted the two-point conversion and later added a field goal on their next drive and just like that they’re leading 21-15 in the fourth quarter.
↵Clearly the Colts are trying to protect Peyton Manning ... but will he stay on the sidelines as the Painter continues to fumble away their perfect season? If you’re scoring at home, Indy has -2 yards of offense since Painter took over. Don’t worry, though Curtis -- you’ll always have the Motor City Bowl passing record of 546 yards.
