Seattle, WA (Sports Network) - Quincy Pondexter led all scorers with 22 points and gathered five rebounds, as 22nd-ranked Washington claimed the 1,600th win in school history with an 86-71 decision over San Francisco at Bank of America Arena.

Matt Bryan-Amaning added 13 points and six boards, while Tyreese Breshers ended with 12 points and six rebounds for Washington (9-2), which defeated Texas A&M on Tuesday and has won three straight overall.

Moustapha Diarra finished with 14 points and 12 rebounds for San Francisco (4-10), which managed to halt a three-game slide with an 82-73 triumph over Cal State-Bakersfield on Wednesday. Rashad Green also had 14 points and Dior Lowhorn added 13 points and eight boards in defeat.

Things remained close in the early going as Diarra’s layup got San Francisco to within two, 18-16, with 8:16 left in the half. However, Pondexter’s jumper started a 11-0 Huskies run.

Breshers’ basket from close range within the final seconds gave Washington a 35-19 advantage heading into the break.

A three-pointer by Michael Williams drew the Dons to within 47-43 with 11:45 left to play, but Scott Suggs answered with a three and the Huskies' lead quickly ballooned to 66-49 with a shade over six minutes left. Washington cruised the rest of the way.

This was the first-ever matchup between the two teams on the hardwood...Washington made 50 percent of their shots, but only 4-of-14 from three-point range. San Francisco shot 39 percent from the floor and made 5- of-18 from beyond the arc.
