Steve Smith Breaks Arm, Scores Touchdown Anyways

Not everything was great for the Panthers in Sunday's demolition of the Giants. Wide receiver Steve Smith broke his left arm and is now set to undergo surgery. He'll miss the team's finale in Week 17.

Smith was injured during a 27-yard touchdown reception in the third quarter, and said he knew immediately he was hurt.

“After I caught the ball, he hit me and I staggered into the end zone,” Smith said. “I got tackled again, and when I got up I could feel it was kind of heavy and it was grinding. So I knew immediately.”

Smith is set to have surgery on Monday.
