    December 29, 2009 - Iowa City, IA (Sports Network) - E’Twaun Moore scored a game-high 21 points and squashed a late Iowa run with a three-point play, as Purdue upended the Hawkeyes, 67-56, in the Big Ten opener for both clubs.

    Robbie Hummel recorded 16 points and eight rebounds for the Boilermakers (12-0, 1-0 Big Ten), who need two more wins to match the program-record 14-0 start set in 1993-94.

    No. 6 West Virginia 63, Marquette 62: Da’Sean Butler Saves The Day

    December 29, 2009 - Morgantown, WV (Sports Network) - Da’Sean Butler’s turnaround jumper with 1.8 seconds remaining lifted the sixth-ranked West Virginia Mountaineers to a 63-62 win over the Marquette Golden Eagles in a Big East clash at WVU Coliseum.

    Butler finished with 17 points while Devin Ebanks led the way with 19 points for the Mountaineers (11-0, 2-0 Big East), who remained one of only a handful of teams still undefeated in college basketball this season. Kevin Jones tallied 18 points in the win.
