When we look at stats in fantasy, it’s all about yards, TDs scored, INTs thrown, and on and on. Generally, it’s all about the offense. Of course, we track our own fantasy defenses that we have parked on our rosters. If we play in a league with IDPs, we have to keep tabs on that. Sometimes, we even pay attention to the rankings of the opposing defenses that our offensive stars will be playing each week.
Star WRs Struggle When Facing The Jets
But only the obsessive, or perhaps the clever, track individual defensive matchups. Most fantasy players wouldn’t bench their good receivers just because the have a tough matchup against a good cornerback. But maybe they should when their WRs take on the Jets CB Darrelle Revis, because they generally end up slumping for that week.

Only one “star” WR has even hit double-digits when they played the Jets and Revis, and that was a measly 10 points (standard scoring leagues).
Owners of Terrell Owens, Antonio Bryant, Roddy White, Reggie Wayne and Chad Ochocinco take note. They’re the next WRs to face the Revis Effect.
