It’s that special time of the year. Cold afternoons with hot chocolate. Lights twinkling on the tree. The smell of cookies in the kitchen. And Tony Romo chucking up interceptions.
Fantasy Stat Breakdown: That Romo Time Of The Year
- You can set your watch by it: Tony Romo has thrown more INTs than TDs during December every year since 2006.
- Aaron Rodgers has thrown a TD in all eleven games, with eight multiple-TD games.
- Brandon Jacobs’ rushing yardage has declined each of the past three games: From 86 yards, to 67 yards, to 39 yards, to 27 yards. If you’re a Jacobs owner you’re painfully aware of this already.
- Seahawks’ QB Matt Hasselbeck is averaging only 181 passing yards against NFC West opponents. Seattle plays their final NFC West game of the season against San Francisco this weekend.
- Not to be picky, but Peyton Manning has thrown seven interceptions in the past four games. He had only thrown four interceptions in the first seven games.
- Only three Carolina Panthers have caught a touchdown pass this season and only one of them - Steve Smith -- is a wide receiver.
- Last week the Browns had more passing yards (118) than the Bengals did (110). If I was Carson Palmer, I’d be worried about that.
- Both of the Bills’ division wins have come with Ryan Fitzpatrick starting at QB. The Bills play the Jets in Toronto this Thursday
- In his last two starts, Chris Redman completed 65% of his passes for 556 passing yards, 6 touchdowns and an interception. Redman will start on Sunday against the Eagles.
- Kansas City’s Jamaal Charles is already the Chiefs leader in rushing yards (406) and rushing touchdowns (2) this season, despite the fact that he’s had 54 fewer carries than Larry Johnson had.
