Eugene Smells Pasadena Next

Image001_medium

↵That sign works in theory much better than in practice. But, it’s true. After the Ducks defeated the Beavers 37-33 on Thursday night, they can now prepare to start smelling Pasadena where they’ll take on Big Ten champs Ohio State.

↵One of the players who helped the Ducks was our old friend LaGarette Blount, appearing for the first time since his suspension for punching Boise State’s Byron Hout. In a strange twist, Blount not only returned just in time to help the Ducks but he also did the Broncos a huge favor in the process. By beating Oregon State, the Ducks make Boise’s win over them look even better and ensures that one of the top-ranked teams gets a bid, not a fringe top ten team.

↵Of course, the Broncs also need Texas to take care of business against Nebraska for the exact same reason before they can breathe easy. However, they might want to give Blount a friendly punch in the shoulder as well.
