Cavs Use 29-0 Run To Beat Bucks 101-86

Milwaukee, WI (Sports Network) - Delonte West scored a team-high 21 points and LeBron James ended with 14 points, 10 assists and five rebounds, as the Cleveland Cavaliers used a giant run to beat the Milwaukee Bucks, 101-86, at Bradley Center.

Mo Williams made 3-of-4 from three-point range and finished with 13 points for Cleveland, which was coming off a 101-87 home win over Chicago. The Cavaliers, who have won four in a row and seven of their last eight games overall, used a 29-0 run in the first half. J.J. Hickson and Shaquille O’Neal went for 11 and 10 points, respectively. Anderson Varejao had a game- best 12 rebounds to go along with five points.

Rookie sensation Brandon Jennings finished with a game-high 24 points for the Bucks, who have dropped three straight and seven of eight overall. Carlos Delfino and Hakim Warrick each netted 11.

Milwaukee head coach Scott Skiles returned to the bench after serving a one- game suspension on Friday, a loss at Detroit. He was given the suspension for his actions directed at a game official and for not leaving the court in a timely manner following his ejection in a setback to Washington on Wednesday.

The Cavs trailed 11-0 moments into the contest and then trailed 17-10, before making an incredible spurt by scoring 29 in a row. Cleveland was ahead 21-17 after the opening 12 minutes, then West opened the second quarter with three-point play that continued the Cavs run. West accounted for 14 points in the second quarter portion of the spurt.

“We turned it around very quickly,” said Williams. “We did a great job getting back in the game. Slowly, but surely, we didn’t take bad shots. We came out, we executed and we got stops. It was a domino effect throughout the second quarter, which was great.”

James’ three-point play in the closing seconds of the half put Cleveland up by a commanding 52-33 margin at the break.

“We were down and then we were second guessing ourselves after that,” said Bucks center Andrew Bogut. “Once you second guess yourself as a shooter, it’s very hard to make a shot.”

The Cavaliers held a comfortable double-digit lead for the entire third quarter, but Milwaukee closed on a positive note when Luke Ridnour hit a three-pointer with two seconds left to make it 75-57 after three.

Milwaukee cut its deficit to 16 points when Roko Ukic’s layup with about 7 1/2 minutes left got the Bucks within 82-66, but Williams hit a three moments later and the Cavs cruised the rest of the way.

The Cavs swept the four-game season series between the clubs last season and have won 13 of their last 16 games with the Bucks...Ukic and Ridnour each ended with seven points.
