According to CBS Sports, Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez missed the team’s practice on Monday as he recovers from his PCL strain.

Nonetheless, Jets head coach Rex Ryan reiterated that they are optimistic that Sanchez will play this weekend when the Jets travel to Tampa Bay to take on the Buccaneers. If Sanchez does play, Ryan said he would wear braces on both knees.
With the Patriots’ loss last week, the Jets are suddenly only a game back in the AFC East. While Sanchez has had his share of rookie struggles this year, the team apparently trusts him much more than they do backup Kellen Clemens.
