In the latest case of unusual candor via Twitter, I present C.J. Wilson, a Texas Rangers reliever, who heard about a rumor that Arizona was offering catcher Chris Snyder in exchange for him. He had this to say:↵
Rangers Reliever Not Amused By Your Paltry Offer
↵
↵
↵↵Wilson did add this: “and and let me clarify that it’s not the guy I’ve got a problem with- but the team dangling him. never mad at players, just gms etc.”↵
↵↵You’ve got to love openness of an athlete to admit that it sort of cuts at their ego when one team makes a low-ball offer. Wilson appeared in 74 games, pitching 73.2 innings with 84 Ks to just 32 BBs. With a WHIP of 1.33 and an ERA of 2.81, he’s probably right in arguing he’s worth more than just Chris Snyder. Step your game up, Diamondbacks, and make Wilson feel loved.↵
