Randy Moller Continues Plumbing Pop Culture for Florida Panthers’ Goal Calls
You may remember Randy Moller from such YouTube hits as, uh, his first and second compilations of pop culture-referencing goal calls. He’s back with a third this week.
Greg Wyshynski has a compendium of the references used here over at Puck Daddy, and I think this edition proves that this is the sort of thing where sequels will mean diminishing returns. The “Knocked Up” reference is sharp, but Kanye at the VMAs and a nod to Chris Crocker?
As a “Panthers fan” (read: a Floridian who paid more attention to the Panthers when they were throwing rats on the ice), I’m a little upset that the team is best known for the play-by-play guy. But I have a solution that would make this even better blog bait: Quote the new MTV reality show “Jersey Shore” exclusively.
I think “I’m a bartender, I do great things” would be hysterical to hear after a wrist shot beats the goalie.
