Like every other state in the Union, Connecticut has some budget problems. A local freelance reporter took the opportunity of Jim Calhoun’s Saturday post-win presser to ask about the coach’s high salary. Wrong decision, Holmes.

Do Not Question Jim Calhoun’s Salary

↵Via CSTB, the Hartford Courant identifies the inquisitor as Ken Krayeske, who seems more activist than reporter. Calhoun’s not only keeping his gig, but he’s going to have a UConn media relations flak’s job too.

↵The great thing about Calhoun’s argument was the presence of multiple Dunkin’ Donuts logos over his shoulders. Bad timing by the loudmouth, there. Get some facts, get a maple bar ... then you may return. (I can’t wait until Krayeske confronts Geno Auriemma.)↵
