Injuries Can’t Stop Crabtree, Maclin From Trying to Impress Important Men

↵Michael Crabtree has a fractured foot, an injury supposedly requiring surgery before he plays football again. But Crabtreee is going to wait after his draft workouts to go under the knife.↵↵⇥“It (stress fracture) has been there for about a year, and it’s never caused me any pain. I can play with it the rest of my life. It won’t stop me from running. I’m going to run.”↵↵Before Crabtree announced he would run, the Kansas City Star ran a story headlined “Crabtree’s Injury May Boost Maclin’s Draft Stock.” D’oh!↵↵⇥Missouri all-American wide receiver Jeremy Maclin had a scare on Sunday morning when he took a spill at the end of running a pass pattern during passing drills at the NFL scouting combine. Maclin, running a deep sideline out, got tangled up while adjusting to a throw by quarterback Jason Boltus of Hartwick. Maclin had to be assisted off the field by two officials, and it appeared to be getting treatment on his left leg.↵↵Maclin did come back and finish the drills, the Star reports. We expect a full-on voodoo doll battle between the receivers for the next six weeks.↵
