During halftime of Georgia Tech-UNC, Jim Calhoun refused to apologize for blowing up on an activist last week. But as Awful Announcing notes in posting the clip, Greg Gumbel ended up with the most eloquent assessment of Calhoun’s actions, lauding the coach for calling a spade a spade. (Or “a jerk a jerk,” in this case.)

↵This begs the question, however: how in the Hades did Gumbel get through 19 years working with Billy Packer without calling the jerk a jerk?↵
