Georgetown Grabs a Rival On Its Way to the Bottom of the Sea

↵Georgetown followed the mountain man over the NCAA Cliff earlier this week, and the Hoyas are grabbing anything they can in order to break the fall. Today, Villanova was the victim of G.U.‘s sticky paws.

↵Georgetown could probably win out in the regular season and miss the Field of 64. Villanova could lose out and still likely make the tournament. But the result -- 56-54 Hoyas -- certainly mucks things up. As has been the case of late with Georgetown, the game was ugly: tons of turnovers, tons of bricks, a real sloppy finish. There was a stretch of at least three minutes late in the game in which neither team scored. Villanova’s late-game offensive execution in particular looked dreadful, with off-balance jumpers and bad giveaways galore.
