Rudy Fernandez Is a Real Tough Guy

Watch in horror as L.A.’s Trevor Ariza intentionally goes for Portland’s Rudy Fernandez’s head last night, sending Rudy into a helicopter death spin, causing injuries so severe to Rudy’s head and neck area that he had to be carted off on a stretcher:↵

↵I’m sorry, forget what I wrote before the video. That was what I assumed based on the news story. It actually appears as if Rudy Fernandez is just the softest athlete this side of the Italian soccer team. Ariza went for the ball and caught Rudy on the forearm. This sent Rudy flailing through the air, eventually landing on his side, nowhere close to his head or neck, and suffering this severe injury:↵↵⇥X-rays and a CT scan were negative, but Fernandez was expected to remain at the hospital overnight with a “soft tissue injury to his right upper chest/side area.”↵↵So, in others words, Rudy has a bruise. He’ll been in a wheelchair for the next 6-8 weeks before beginning rehab. Such courage he has to attempt to comeback from that injury.
