
Mickelson Pulls a Tiger, Plays Under Duress

The world rightfully lionized Tiger Woods for heroically winning the 2008 U.S. Open on a bad, bad knee. Phil Mickelson is doing the same today, competing through the harrowing ailments of “heat exhaustion and mild dehydration” at Doral.

↵He entered the final round tied atop the leaderboard with Nick Watney at 16-under. In my book, it’s a miracle he’s able to play. What a soldier.↵↵⇥Spokesman T.R. Reinman said Mickelson was feeling lethargic after the third round and was taken to Baptist Medical Plaza to receive two bags of an IV solution.↵↵Let no one question Lefty’s dedication to his sport again.↵
