Unique NASCAR Collectibles Highlighted in WKNO’s 29th Annual Action Auction

More than forty unique NASCAR collectibles are up for bid in WKNO's 29th annual Action Auction. The collection, which will be auctioned off live the evening of Sunday, April 19, ranges from die-cast model cars, baseball caps, and collector cards to authentic race mementos. All of these items were autographed by their drivers expressly for WKNO at Memphis Motorsports Park, thanks to the hard work of a friend of the station.

One spectacular item is the NASCAR Race-Used Scott Kleenex Hood donated by Baker Curb Racing. Race used & race wrecked, this hood is from the #27 Scott Kleenex car driven by Brad Coleman and Jason Keller. Other authentic race mementos include a race-used driver's firesuit worn by Kevin Conway, 2007 driver for Joe Gibbs Racing, and Chase Miller's autographed red and black Puma driver shoes (size 9.0-9 ½).

Also featured are collectibles autographed by Denny Hamlin, Tony Stewart, and a host of up-and-coming young drivers. Joe Gibbs Racing donated a framed limited edition photograph of Tony Stewart, autographed and containing a piece of the tire from his win at Talledega on 10/5/08

Viewers can also bid on the NASCAR Nationwide Series Race Day Package, which includes 4 excellent race tickets and 4 passes to the pre-race ceremony and Victory Lane ceremony. These passes are no available for sale anywhere. Typically these are reserved for media and team guests, but Memphis Motorsports Park has created this package which includes these once-in-a-lifetime opportunity passes!

WKNO’s annual Action Auction airs live the third and fourth weekends of April. The NASCAR collection will be auctioned the evening of Sunday, April 19, but the items are currently available for browsing and bidding online. Information on all of the items is available at www.wkno.org. The Action Auction raises money to support WKNO’s many valuable programs and events.
