Scott Wimmer NASCAR Nationwide Series Advance: Talladega Superspeedway

SO CLOSE – Scott Wimmer will be forced to qualify on time once again this week at Talladega Superspeedway. Last weekend's 19th place finish at Phoenix International Raceway bumped the No. 40 up two more spots in the NNS owner standings to 31st. The team is only three points out of the top-30, which provides competitors a guaranteed starting spot.

UNLUCKY ALABAMA – Scott Wimmer has found a lot of bad luck at the 2.66-mile Talladega Superspeedway. In his five NNS starts at the track, Wimmer has completed only 41% of the laps run due to engine failures and accidents. Wimmer has finished on the lead lap only once, when he ran 9th in the 2008 Aaron's 312.

CHASSIS INFORMATION – Key Motorsports will be utilizing chassis #030 at this weekend's race at Talladega Superspeedway. #030 is the team's primary superspeedway chassis, and was most recently raced at the season-opener at Daytona International Speedway.

FLYING SOLO – Scott Wimmer will be the only Key Motorsports driving this weekend, after the announcement that the team is cutting back their NASCAR Camping World Truck Series program to a part-time schedule. The No. 40 NCWTS entry for this weekend's race has been withdrawn due to lack of sponsorship and team owner Curtis Key's desire to focus on his Nationwide Series program.
