UK Adds John Wall; NCAA Cancels Season

That’s a little extreme, but as a college hoops fan I’m thrilled this morning at the news that John Wall has committed to play for John Calipari at Kentucky.↵(Via SLAM)

↵How did Wall let everyone know about this news? Did he hold a big press conference where he played a shell game with multiple hats coming out of multiple bags?↵↵⇥When reached by Scout.com Tuesday morning, the 6-foot-4 point guard confirmed he had made the decision. “Yeah,” he told the recruiting service, when asked if Kentucky was the school of his choice.↵↵↵Well, that was actually sort of a letdown. I mean after dragging this out to the second-to-last day possible, I was hoping for fireworks or something. At the very least, he could’ve gone all Dre Kirkpatrick for us.↵

↵↵Wall joins Eric Bledsoe, Daniel Orton and DeMarcus Cousins in a ridiculous recruiting class. Toss in Patrick Patterson, who is returning to school, and Jodie Meeks, who has yet to decide whether he’s staying in the draft, and you’ve got the makings of a No. 1 team. Think that’s extreme?
