No One Plays the Bad Guy Like Mayweather

If you’d watched ESPN or ESPNEWS for the last 24-36 hours, you’ve probably seen some snippet of Brian Kenny and Floyd Mayweather going at it. There’s a lot of wild gesturing by Mayweather and, well, I’m just going to say it’s probably the most entertaining 13 minutes of sports you’ll see today now that the full interview has been released.↵

↵It’s really tough to break this one down for the greatest hits, but how about this line from Floyd: “I already forgot who I’m talking to. I’m talking to Brian Kenny, a guy who has never laced up gloves a day in his life and who don’t know nothing about boxing.”↵↵At least Kenny had a suitable response: “What, you want to be champion emeritus forever?”↵

↵↵Even if you know little or nothing about boxing, watching a good on-air fight like this is always entertaining. And although Large isn’t able to check in to give his two cents on this, he did explain by phone that he was on set for another infamous showdown between Kenny and Mayweather. So this isn’t exactly Round 1 between these two.↵

↵↵If you were looking for a black hat in the potential Pacquiao-Mayweather showdown, there’s no doubt you found him.↵
