Scott Wimmer NASCAR Nationwide Series Advance: Lowe’s Motor Speedway

WELCOME BACK – Scott Wimmer returns to the Key Motorsports No. 40 after taking a week off to drive the No. 5 NNS entry for JR Motorsports at Darlington. Wimmer will continue to race with Key Motorsports through the June 6th race at Nashville Superspeedway.

TIME OFF – It's been a while since Wimmer has made an NNS start at Lowe's Motor Speedway, as he did not race in Charlotte in 2008, but Scott has done several COT tests at the track over the course of the past year. The last time Wimmer started a spring race at Lowe's he sat on the outside pole and brought home a top-10 finish.

GO OR GO HOME – Last weekend's 23rd place finish by Jeff Green was not enough to lock Curtis Key's No. 40 into the field for this upcoming race at Lowe's Motor Speedway. The StopRepairBills.com Chevy now sits 32nd in the owner points, 39 points out of 30th.

CHASSIS INFORMATION – Key Motorsports will be utilizing chassis #006 at this weekend's race at Lowe's Motor Speedway. This weekend will be the first time this intermediate chassis hits the track this season.

Quotes and Facts:

ON LOWES MOTOR SPEEDWAY – "I'm looking forward to going to Charlotte. I haven't raced there for a little bit, but I've done a lot of testing there with the COT car and I sat on the outside front row back in 2007, so I look forward to going back there and getting back in Curtis' stuff. I got away for a week there, but I'm coming back and hopefully can continue on what we've been doing. We've been qualifying better and been racing better so hopefully we can continue on that and get our car to run out front."
