Joey Votto’s Life Is Extraordinarily Unpleasant

Joey Votto caught an ear infection a few weeks ago. That’s never pleasant by itself, but it began affecting his inner ear, which just so happens to control your equilibrium and ability to not just fall over for the hell of it.

↵To that end, Votto missed about 10 games due to dizziness, which must be a hellaciously crappy way to get knocked out of a lineup. There’s nothing badass about the injury, no war stories, just a total inability to walk in a straight line.

↵Our deepest apologies to Votto and the Reds, as that clearly is not the footage we described. That is a fat man in a Penn State football jersey who has probably consumed an unholy amount of beer. The factchecker in charge of this story has been sacked.
