Over the past week, the Internet has fallen in love with Josh Womack, the guy who spins the bat in the air while he swings it. Click here for a refresher course.
↵
↵Turns out that’s not all he can do, as evidenced by the latest highlight reel released by his team, the Long Beach Armada:

This Has Absolutely Nothing to Do with Playing Baseball, But Spinning Things Are Fun to Watch
↵
↵
↵Would you look at that? He spun it around in different places! And it balanced on his foot! Eee hee hee! Do it again! Aw, ha ha ha ha! (clapping and giggling like a 2-year-old at a jack-in-the-box).
↵
↵Look, all of this is wonderfully impressive, but 100% independent of actual, y’know, baseball acumen. It’s not as if he can apply any of these skills (or even their underlying principles) to hitting a pitch. If he were doing any of this with something other than a baseball bat, it wouldn’t even qualify as sports. We’re sure his team would rather he put a two-out slider into the gap than flip a bat between his legs. Show-off.

↵No it wasn’t.

↵But they’re probably thinking all of this.↵
