Offsides: Mota Did it Just for Kicks

↵↵In a new recurring series called Offsides, which will run↵Monday-Thursday with the occasional Friday, LSUFreek plays the role of↵TSB editorial cartoonist.↵

↵↵After watching his teammate, Manny Ramirez, get beaned earlier in the Dodgers’ 17-4 rout of the Brewers Tuesday night, Dodgers pitcher Guillermo Mota decided to retaliate late with two outs in the 9th inning by hitting Brewers first baseman Prince Fielder with a pitch. Postgame, Fielder found the Dodgers’ locker room and all the Mota-vation he needed. Cameras weren’t around, but we have imagined what the bean-ball almost-brawl might have looked like.↵

↵↵We fully expect the MLB will have their say about beanings, even if it is just for kicks.↵
