It now seems likely that Matt Cassel will get his first start with his new team this Sunday. More from the K.C. Star:
He also practiced on Friday, so all indications are that he’ll play against the Raiders. Coach Todd Haley is yet to make any official announcements.

According to CBS Sportsline, Chiefs Head Coach Todd Haley says he isn’t sure if Matt Cassel will start in Week 2 against the Raiders. Haley hopes to know Cassel’s status for the game earlier in the week than last week, when the decision to sit Cassel was made right before kickoff. Brodie Croyle would start again if Cassel can’t go Sunday.
