Cassel Practices Thursday, Friday

It now seems likely that Matt Cassel will get his first start with his new team this Sunday. More from the K.C. Star:

Cassel was again listed on the league’s injury report as not being a full participant in Thursday’s practice. But Cassel said he had a sense he would be ready to go.

“I feel like I’m leaps and bounds ahead of where I was last week at this time,” he said.

That progress, Cassel said, is evident by the fact his workload in practice increased this week.

He also practiced on Friday, so all indications are that he’ll play against the Raiders. Coach Todd Haley is yet to make any official announcements.
