Ricky Williams To Retire After 2010

Stop me if you’ve heard this one before - Ricky Williams is retiring. No, not like in 2004 when he absconded right before training camp to go spend some alone time in India. According to PFT, Williams has announced he will play two more seasons and then retire. From PFT:

Ricky Williams, one of the most-hyped running backs of the past generation who also ended up being one of the most disappointing, says that he plans to play two more years and then call it quits.

According to Jeff Darlington of the Miami Herald, Williams has signed a one-year extension with the Dolphins, putting him under contract through 2010.

“I talked to Bill [Parcells] about it, and we came to an agreement,” Williams said. “It was quiet and easy.”
