John Inser Thinks Quite Highly of Women’s Tennis

American John Isner (who, if you’re not a tennis fan, you may know as the really tall dude who beat Roddick in this year’s Open), had this to say about the women’s side on Atlanta radio:

↵↵[Host]: “How far down the men’s list would beat the number one woman in the world. How far down do you believe the number goes?”

↵[Isner]: “Oh gosh! I don’t want get the backlash from this comment. It would go down pretty far. (Host: You know the truth. Just say the truth, you know it, you’re there.) I think 700 or 800 in the world.â€

↵↵Of course, he’s right. But only because the No. 1 woman right now is Dinara Safina, who is not very good at tennis. As soon as Serena reclaims the top spot, watch out Blake Strode.
