No Tennis So Far Today; Hoping to Resume at 3:30

Nadal and Gonzalez were scheduled to continue their match at 2PM ET today, but the rain is back and we’re in another delay.

Also scheduled for today are the women’s semifinal matches between Serena Williams and Kim Clijsters, followed by Yanina Wickmayer-Caroline Wozniacki. Those were originally slated to begin on Arthur Ashe at 11AM. Once (if) the rain subsides, Williams-Clijsters will get started on Ashe and Wickmayer-Wozniacki will move to the Grandstand court.

Also scheduled for today is the men’s double final, which will begin on Armstrong as soon as possible. That match will be followed on Armstrong by the continuation of Nadal-Gonzalez.

So, long story short: When the rain stops, both women’s semis and the men’s doubles final will all be going on at the same time, with Nadal’s match to follow the men’s doubles.

Here’s the current radar map. The yellowish stuff to the east is headed in the general NYC direction, so it may be rain on-and-off for the near future. Fingers crossed, though.
